This week’s Student Spotlight is over the fiery and resilient Britni Fletcher!
Britni Fletcher is a senior in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Dance and English Literature programs. Her credits at Missouri State University include being a dancer in the 2020 Fall Dance Concert, Dancer and Choreographer for several pieces for the 2021 Spring Dance Concert Dancing the Next Dimension, and a choreographer in the upcoming Fall Dance Concert. She is also this year’s Co-President for the student organization MOState Dance Co. and has been a Resident Assistant for the past three years. When asked about Britni’s work ethic, her peers stated that it is nothing less than amazing. “She gets her assignment and completes it with elegance. She’s a go-getter, and her brain is amazing- like, have you seen her choreography?!? I think my favorite memories with Brit are rehearsals for the fall dance concert with her, Reggie, Kyle, and Hattie. Yes, she is very serious when it comes to dance, but she does have her moments where we’ll just laugh for hours.” It is clear to anyone that has seen her work or worked with her just how passionately and gracefully she makes movement into something so much more.
Outside of school, she shines just as bright as she does while dancing. Her friends shared, “She cares so much about diversity and adversity in our community. She’s an amazing friend. I kind of think of her as my mentor because she’s always there to lend a helping hand. If you want something done, call Brit.”
Congratulations, Britni, on all of your personal and academic successes!
You have been this week’s Student Spotlight.
“She is going to make it, I’m certain. Whatever Britni wants to achieve in her future, it will be done.”
