This week’s Student Spotlight is over the inspiring and dedicated Annette Oliphant!
Annette Oliphant is a sophomore in the Bachelor of Science Speech and Theatre Education program. She is involved involved here at Missouri State University as a University Ambassador, a member of the Panhellenic Association, a student assistant in the Department of Theatre and Dance’s Marketing Office running the department’s TikTok, and the Stage Manager for UCYA’s production of The Girl She Was.
When asked about her work ethic at her jobs and in her classes, her peers had nothing but positive things to say. One stated, “Annette is such a joy to work with! She is always so kind and really nice to be around. Her positivity is contagious, and she is often the highlight of my day.” Another said that, “She is so dedicated to her field of study as she is always telling me about lesson plans she already has in mind for when she begins teaching theatre one day. I know her future students are so lucky, and I know they are going to love her as much as I do.”
Outside of school, her friends had even more great things to say. One great friend shared, “Annette is one of the best people I have ever met. She is constantly giving of herself to others. She is one of those people who you just constantly want to be around, as cliché as it might sound she truly does brighten up any room she walks into. Not only that, Annette is such a great listener and advocate for others. She is passionate about making a difference in her community and is involved to the ‘nth’ degree.”
Wow. It truly sounds like Annette is a beacon of positivity and inspiration through all aspects of her life.
Congratulations, Annette, on all of your personal and academic success!
