Carbs + Calories = Confusion

Our Diabetes Workshops are FREE sessions for anyone with diabetes and prediabetes or anyone else who has a special interest in diabetes such as a caregiver or a family member of someone with diabetes.  Each 1-hour session will include a variety topics presented with PowerPoint presentations, guest speakers, in-class demonstrations and hands-on activities.  A personalized diabetic-friendly lunch will be provided at each session. 
Registration for all sessions is required.

Upcoming Session

Carbs + Calories = Confusion: Clarity about what to eat when you have diabetes

June 27th, 12:00-1:00

Magers Health & Wellness Center, room 100

You will learn the most recent nutrition recommendations for people with all types of diabetes and pre-diabetes and what determines these needs for each person. Then, we will plan some meals together! You will leave with a “Meal Planning Prompt” that you can use to create menus out of the foods you LIKE!

Please register through My Learning Connection:
– Login at My Missouri State.
– Go to the “Profile” tab.
– Click “My Learning Connection” under the Professional Development section.
– Once there, type Diabetes Workshop into the search box at the upper right of the screen.
– Follow the prompts to checkout and complete payment process, if necessary.
