Nutrition Talks – Spring 2019
Are you interested in learning about the latest nutrition “hot” topics? If so, you are in luck as we have some excellent Nutrition Talks planned for the Spring 2019 Semester! All Nutrition Talks are presented by registered dietitians and/or faculty members in Biomedical Sciences. Additionally, due to our love of food, a healthy meal will be served at each session!
Cost: $5 per class (family and retirees free!)

Food Trends and Technology – Wednesday, February 27th (5:15 – 6:30 PM)
Are organic foods more nutritious? Do GMOs cause cancer? In this fascinating presentation, you will learn about the history, health effects, safety considerations, and controversies around current and upcoming food trends/technologies. Topics to be covered include organic foods, GMOs, cultured meats, medicinal foods, nanotechnology, 3D-printed food, and other unique trends. You do not want to miss this informative and relevant talk over food technology!
