Missouri State Public Affairs welcomes Eva Mozes Kor to share her story, “Forgiving Dr. Mengele” on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Carrington Hall Auditorium.
Kor and her twin sister, Miriam, were victims of the experiments conducted by Dr. Josef Mengele at the infamous Auschwitz Death Camp. Amazingly, they both survived, though the rest of their family were exterminated by the Nazis.
Kor will talk about her experiences in Auschwitz, her recovery, and her remarkable decision to publicly forgive the Nazis. Through her museum and lectures, Kor has dedicated her life to giving testimony on the Holocaust, providing a message of hope for people who have suffered, and working for causes of human rights and peace.
The presentation is co-sponsored by the office of public affairs support, the department of modern and classical languages, and religious studies.
Event is free and open to the public.
