Dr. Tammy Jahnke, dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, along with Dr. Jim Baker, vice president of research and economic development, and Provost Dr. Frank Einhellig have appointed Dr. Kartik Ghosh, professor of physics, astronomy and materials science, to the position of CASE (Center for Applied Science and Engineering) faculty research liaison.
As CASE faculty research liaison, Ghosh will have an office at JVIC and will work with the director of CASE and the CASE staff, along with JVIC corporate affiliates, to develop collaborations between CNAS faculty and CASE and/or JVIC corporate affiliates. The director of CASE, Matt Curry, supervises current CASE staff and facilities at JVIC. As the director and a scientist, Curry is involved with a variety of CASE projects with JVIC corporate affiliates and other companies. This unique appointment of Ghosh as a CASE faculty research liaison will further the collaborations between JVIC and Missouri State students and faculty.
“We support this opportunity to strengthen the collaboration between CNAS and JVIC,” stated Allen Kunkel, associate vice president for economic development and the director of JVIC. “We look forward Dr. Ghosh’s involvement as we explore the capabilities and expertise that exists within CNAS to enhance both CASE and JVIC corporate affiliate technologies.”
