Ozarks Science and Engineering Fair is this week. Judging is Tuesday evening, April 1. Awards will be announced Thursday, evening, April 3.

O-STEAM Conference – The Ozarks STEAM Coalition is organizing the first O-STEAM conference to be held in Nixa on Saturday, April 5. Registration is $30 and the first 10 faculty to contact Gale Lininger earn free registration (CNAS will pay for these!). Some of our students interning with City Utilities and ANPAC will be talking about their internships. Undergraduate Students –
Abstracts are due by noon on April 21 for CNAS Undergraduate Research Day. The call for abstracts and instructions follow, http://www.cnas.missouristate.edu/103732.htm. CNAS Undergraduate Research Day will be held on Tuesday, May 6 from 2 pm–5 pm. Poster Session – 2:00-3:45 PM, Guest Speaker – 4:00 PM, Awards Ceremony 4:30 PM.

Lynn Robbins – Congratulations on your two new contracts – one with Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative for determining the presence of bats on a proposed transmission line and one with SCI Engineering, Inc. for determining the presence of endangered bats at a proposed Missouri state park!
Bob Pavlowsky – Congratulations on your two new contracts – one with the City of Springfield for the South Creek 319 pre-monitoring project and one with the US Department of Justice for the Big River Mining Sediment Assessment!
Diane May and Dorothy Wittorff-Sandgren – Congratulations on your contract with the Marshfield Senior Center for grant writing!
Mike Reed – Congratulations on the increase in funding for the Missouri Space Grant Consortium through NASA and Missouri S&T!
PHYS BIZ NEWS – Friday, March 28 – Becky Baker said – “We just got back from Fremont Elementary and I thought this was the best session we have done. Both the people running the stations and the elementary students had a great time. The kids were very good, asked lots of questions and walked away with feeling like they learned something.” Thank you to all faculty who have been helping with Phys Biz – Dave Cornelison, Mike Reed, Matt Pierson and Becky Baker.
