Allison gift updates intramural facilities and opportunities

Though inclement weather forced the festivities indoors, no amount of rain could dampen the excitement of hundreds of Missouri State University students, alumni, and donors that turned out on April 23, 2013 to celebrate the dedication of the Betty and Bobby Allison Recreation Fields and the Betty and Bobby Allison Courts.

Tent Theatre shines thanks to community support

Unique in venue – actual performances are outside under a tent (originally to escape the non-air-conditioned heat of 1960s Carrington Hall) – Tent Theatre at Missouri State is an annual theatrical treat for the campus and Springfield community, and an opportunity for Missouri State alumni and friends to support some incredibly talented student performers as they work side-by-side with seasoned theatre professionals.

Foundation Scholarships impact thousands annually

In an increasingly competitive global job market, many are recognizing the key to future success is a college degree and the experience a college campus can offer. However, with higher education costs ever on the rise, many are finding it difficult to finance the college career that will help them maximize their potential and contribute to their communities. To bridge this gap thousands of Missouri State University alumni and friends help students annually through the funding of Foundation Scholarships.

Fundraising efforts, practices recognized with national award

For the third time in five years, Missouri State University has won national recognition for its fundraising success, winning the 2013 Sustained Excellence in Educational Fundraising Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Of the nearly 1,000 colleges and universities considered, only 68 higher education institutions won an award.
