Major renovations planned for Greenwood Lab School

Greenwood Laboratory School will be celebrating its 110-year anniversary in 2018. The building, which turned 50 years old this year, is undergoing a multi-million dollar expansion project to upgrade its facilities.

As our state support decreases, you – our alumni and friends – have stepped up. Fiscal year 2017 had the second-largest fundraising total in the history of the Missouri State University Foundation, ending with over $19 million raised. Your commitment to an accessible and affordable education is unparalleled. Your gifts continue to support student scholarships and experiences, programs and activities, faculty teaching and research as well as facility enhancements. Annual Board of Trustees Meeting October 26, 2017

At the Missouri State University Foundation’s 2017 Board of Trustees Annual Meeting today, we welcomed new trustees and recognized outgoing members. We thank Michael H. Ingram, outgoing Chair, for his service and leadership.

David D. Glass Hall Grand Re-opening and Robert Gourley Student Success Center Dedication

Missouri State University officially unveiled the newly renovated Glass Hall – home of the College of Business – to the community today during Homecoming week. The David D. Glass Hall Grand Re-Opening and Robert Gourley Student Success Center Dedication was held at 10 a.m. Oct. 26 at the O’Reilly Auto Parts Grand Atrium and followed by self-guided tours of the building.

Hunt Slonem paintings on display at Missouri State

Neo-expressionist artist Hunt Slonem has had solo exhibitions on every continent except Antarctica. His artwork is now on display, and for sale, in Springfield, Missouri. More than 20 of Hunt’s paintings are on exhibit until Oct. 13 at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts on the Missouri State University campus. The Missouri State music department will receive 20 percent of any sales made during the exhibit’s visit in Springfield.

MarooNation Ball Springfield 2017

The MarooNation Ball Springfield was held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at The Old Glass Place. The Presenting Sponsor for the evening was BKD Wealth Advisors. Proceeds from the MarooNation Ball Springfield go toward the MarooNation Springfield Student Scholarship.

The Founders Club Medallion Reception 2017

The Founders Club held its annual Medallion Reception Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center. Medallions are awarded to alumni, friends, businesses and organizations in recognition of their contributions to Missouri State University.

Meet Emma

Emma Saake is this year’s recipient of the MarooNation Springfield Student Scholarship. This scholarship was established with the intention to help a student attending the Springfield campus, who is facing an unplanned life altering situation or unexpected hardship at no fault of their own, pursue their college education with a lessened financial hardship.

Foundation gifts total more than $19 million

Thanks to Missouri State University alumni and friends, the Foundation raised $19,515,898 in Fiscal Year 2017, which ended June 30, 2017. This is the second largest fundraising total in the history of the Foundation. The highest was $20.3 million in FY 2012.
