As governmental support for higher education continues a tenuous track, the Missouri State University Foundation’s role in garnering financial resources increases. In honor of the success the foundation has had in this vein, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has awarded an Overall Performance award in educational fundraising.
For the third time in five years, Missouri State University has won national recognition for its fundraising success, winning the 2013 Sustained Excellence in Educational Fundraising Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Of the nearly 1,000 colleges and universities considered, only 68 higher education institutions won an award.
For the fourth year in a row, the Missouri State University Foundation set a new record for fundraising in Fiscal Year 2011, which ended June 30. The $16,698,481 raised during FY11 topped the Foundation’s previous record of $15,512,371. The gifts will help to fund programs, scholarships, equipment and other needs across campus.
