The MSU Alliance for Veterans would like to invite all faculty, staff and student veterans from all branches, along with their guests, to attend the Veteran’s Day Events on Friday, November 9th. This year’s final branch to honor in our series is a Salute to the Air Force. Events include complimentary recognition breakfast and a presentation by Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Schreiner, commander of the 13th Bomb Squadron, 509th Operations Group, Whiteman AFB, MO. The breakfast and presentation will be from 8:00 am – 9:45 am in the PSU West Ballroom.
Breakfast Registration for Veterans and their Guests:
Please register online at http://alliance.missouristate.edu/ for the breakfast by Nov. 5. The breakfast is open to University and Community Veterans and their guests with the following activities open to the public.
Events Open to Campus and Public:
The breakfast and presentation will be followed by a Missouri State University Canteen Show at 10:00 am featuring a live performance by Sarah Margaret Smith in the PSU Food Court. The third annual Taps Project at Missouri State University will follow the MSU Canteen show at 10:40 am on the Bear Paw where trumpeters across campus will play the 24 notes of military taps to signalize remembrance of the fallen. The third annual Taps Project at Missouri State will again be played after the final stroke of eleven bells on the carillon at 11:00 am. All are asked to pause, listen and to reflect on those who have sacrificed so much in public service.
Please join us to honor those who have served and are currently serving in our United States military.
Thank You,
The Missouri State University Alliance for Veterans
