MSU Summer 2013 Registration
Date: Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21
Time: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

This interdisciplinary academic writing retreat is designed to:
- Create a motivated and positive environment that fosters excellent work
- Encourage productivity through peer accountability and immediate feedback
- Help you start off your summer by completing a writing project
The retreat includes five days of committed writing time, mini-sessions on removing productivity challenges and fostering good writing habits, and feedback on writing style, grammar, and more. The retreat is open to anyone working on a scholarly writing project. The goal is for each participant to arrive with a work in progress and leave with a manuscript prepared for submission.
Writing Retreat Session Agenda:
8:00–8:30 a.m. Continental Breakfast
8:30–9:15 a.m. Discussion Session
9:15–9:30 a.m. Settle In
9:30–12:00 p.m. Writing Time
12:00–1:00 p.m. Luncheon
1:00–3:30 p.m. Writing Time
3:30–4:30 p.m. Debriefing Session
The cost of the retreat is $150. The Summer Writing Retreat is noncredit fee waiver benefit eligible and payment is completed online through the registration process.
