Yesterday we finally made it to Ho Chi Minh City! The main thing that has surprised me the most is how busy, loud and fast-paced it is. The traffic is crazy, I can’t believe how many scooters take up the roads and how there are no lanes. I could never drive here. I also found it surprising how close all the building and shops are to one another. For lunch, we went to a buffet and I tried a lot of different foods and found some I liked and some I didn’t like. And for dinner we went to place that had sushi and I got a fried shrimp roll. It was very yummy.
Today we presented at the university and the American Center. The university was very interesting to see and to experience the exchange with the students. Everyone has been very nice and friendly here. At the American center, we got another chance to split up and talk in groups and talked about many different things with them such as what they like to do at night, how they chose the university they did, and also things like the kind of music they like. Overall Vietnam has been a learning experience and I’m looking forward to tomorrow!
