Katy Grant is a senior studying Agricultural Communications and is serving as the president for the College of Agriculture student organization, Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. Grant represented KMZU radio station at the 2021 National Association of Farm Broadcasting convention hosted in Kansas City, Mo from November 17th through 19th.
During the convention, Grant received news that she was one of five college students selected nationwide to receive the 2021 NAFB George Logan Scholarship. The scholarship awarded Grant with a total of $7,500.
When asked about how she felt to be one in five students nationwide to receive this scholarship, her response was, “I am beyond blessed to receive the honor of an NAFB Foundation scholarship! Knowing that my agricultural background and broadcasting experience have been recognized through this award is incredibly humbling and I am very proud to have represented both Missouri State University and KMZU radio station at the NAFB national convention this past week. I truly hope that I am able to make all of the foundation members and sponsors of this scholarship proud with what I accomplish in my future.”
Grant has well represented the Darr College of Agriculture at Missouri State University. We congratulate her on her accomplishment and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
