Brick City Gallery, 215 West Mill Street in Springfield, is presenting NMC10: 10 Years of Video Art, March 4- 7.
This new media art exhibit is free and open to the public. First Friday Art Walk is 6pm-10pm, Friday, March 7.
Gallery hours are: 11am-6pm Monday-Friday, and Noon-5pm Saturday. Gallery is closed during national and university holidays.
NMC10 is a juried video program celebrating the ten-year anniversary of the New Media Caucus (NMC), a 953 member affiliate organization of the College Art Association formed in 2003 to promote the development and understanding of new media art.
Over 300 entries were submitted and juried by Heather Darcy Bhandari, Director of Artist Relations, Mixed Greens Gallery (NYC). Heather co-authored the book ART/WORK: Everything You Need to Know (and Do) as you Pursue Your Art Career (2009, Free Press).
The NMC10 Video Programme was curated by Heather Darcy and Krista Hoefle. Krista Hoefle is an Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Art, Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame, IN). She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Media Caucus.
