Gear up for this month’s First Friday Art Walk! This friday, April 6th, is going to be rainy, so don’t be afraid to break out the umbrellas and raincoats.
This month, there are over 20 locations to enjoy art across downtown Springfield!
MSU Brick City Gallery, 215 W. Mill, and the Department of Art+Design, presents The Road I Call Home: Portraits and Films by Randy Bacon; Stories by Our Homeless Friends through April 20. Also, enjoy International Baccalaureate Exhibitions in the primary and middle years programs.
MSU Student Exhibition Center, 838 E. Walnut St., presents the MSU Art + Design Department Per Course Art Faculty Exhibition. Art and Design’s per course faculty are active and involved artists, designers or art educators. Their work ranges from photography, paintings and sculptures, to new media and more. Be sure to enjoy the Art Walk reception, with complementary food and drinks, 6-10 p.m.
MSU Center of International Programs, 301 S. Jefferson, presents Tour of Asia for the April 6 Art Walk, plus take a 20-minute sample course in languages including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish in a Community Language Open House, including activities for kids ages 10-14!
