Live artwork “How We Are Feeling” offers a sense of community

The installation, welcome to the public, has several dates in October.

October 23, 2020 by Jacqueline Crawford

You are invited to participate in “How We Are Feeling,” a socially engaged artwork facilitated by Shauna Le Ann Smith.

“How We Are Feeling” is a series of group conversations in which participants are invited to share how they are feeling and/or hear the same from others. As connections are made through the conversations a collaborative temporary art installation will take form.

The artwork aims to welcome the community to gather as a collective to speak about current events and coping methods and to offer the reminder that you are not alone and your personal experiences matter.

“How We Are Feeling” began October 16, with the first conversation held at the Student Exhibition Center as a part of the MFA exhibition. The following October dates will be held at Brick City:

  • Saturday, October 24, noon
  • Thursday, October 29, 9 a.m.
  • Thursday, October 29, 5 p.m.

All are welcome. Come as you are, as an important and active member of this community.

Register to save your seat. All conversations will be held outdoors to ensure social distancing. Masking is required. Exact outdoor location will be emailed prior to the one-hour event. Seating is provided.
