Biennial Design + Image Exhibition Debuts New Carolla Arts Exhibition Center

Missouri State’s Design and Illustration students showcase their work in the Biennial Design + Image Exhibition, the first exhibition on view at the new Carolla Arts Exhibition Center. The show is on display through October 20.

“This exhibition is a long-standing tradition in the department. It is curated as the ‘best works’ from all design and illustration classes from sophomore to senior level students,” says Vonda Yarberry, Department Head of Missouri State’s Art + Design Department, “It’s a great show, one of our biggest of the year.”

Featured work displays a variety of design and typography techniques.

Carolla Arts Exhibition Center is located at 326 N. Boonville Ave, Springfield, Missouri. Gallery hours are Monday–Friday 11 AM–6 Pm and Saturday 11 AM–4 PM. Call 417-837-2330 for additional details. Please wear a mask and practice safe distancing when visiting the gallery.


Taylor Ladd is a graduate assistant for the Department of Art + Design. She is working towards her master’s degree in writing at Missouri State University with professional interests in writing about art, culture, and food.
