Design Area Represented in Hungarian Typography Exhibition

June 14, 2022 by Taylor Ladd

Graphic Design and Illustration majors are frequently finding opportunities to add international exhibition recognition to their resumés. Most recently, a group of students and faculty participated in Typozone /4/, an international exhibition based out of Eger, Hungary. Missouri State University was the only university representing the United States among ten other institutions from Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia.

Typozone /4/ celebrates the creative and cultural impact of typography in design. After a two-year hiatus caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, Typozone’s fourth installment showcases the works originally submitted for the 2020 theme, “fiction,” and also includes video submissions for 2022 that center around the idea of “metaverse.” The exhibition was on view at Temple Galéria in Eger, Hungary from April 27–May 27 and can still be viewed online via the virtual catalog.
