Missouri State University’s computer animation studies program placed in two categories in Animation Career Review’s 12th annual rankings.
MSU placed No. 3 in the top 5 animation programs in Missouri and also ranked No. 22 nationally among schools offering an animation-related degree.
“Students who have graduated from our program have become very successful applying their skills in animation industries,” said Vonda Yarberry, department head of art and design at MSU. “Our faculty care about their students and we have state-of-the-art equipment – and those efforts show in the rankings”
Criteria for rankings
To be considered for this ranking, a school must grant degrees in the animation field.
Animation Career Review develops the lists based on these criteria:
- Academic reputation.
- Admission selectivity.
- Employment data.
- Depth and breadth of the program faculty.
- Value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness.
- Graduation rate.
- Retention rate.
