Over 100 statement-making posters by illustrator, designer, and teacher Peter Bankov are filling the walls of Brick City Gallery. With works personally selected by Peter Bankov, the exhibition presents examples of his approach to graphic design. The Peter Bankov Poster Exhibition is on view in both the east and west galleries now through April 14.
Peter was born in Minsk, Belarus to a family of artists. After beginning his artistic career studying sculpture in Minsk, Peter lived in Moscow while studying book design and illustration. Now based in Prague, Peter works as both a designer and teacher, with his work receiving international recognition. Just a few of his professional achievements include his series titled, I make posters every day, which resulted in a 400-poster outcome and was later published as a book. His projects are also part of private collections in Moscow, London, and Beijing, as well as museum collections in USA, Germany, Netherlands, France, Finland, and Poland.
