Five members of the MSU Jewelry Students Association traveled to Memphis last weekend to act as volunteer metalsmiths at the Ornamental Metal Museum's annual "Repair Days" fundraising event. Volunteers stayed on the museum grounds and repaired broken metal objects of all kinds that were brought in by the public. Geoffrey Kunkler (BFA in Ceramics 2006) was recently named studio manager at Phoenix Fired Arts in Joplin, Missouri, a privately run community art center. Geoffrey completed his MFA at the University of Kansas in 2011 where he focused on ceramic installation work.
