Let’s meet the Northrop Family from O’Fallon! This is a picture of an impromptu going away party with extended family! Their student has found that the career center is a very useful resource on campus.

As a family, they enjoy going to the aquarium here in Springfield and taking a short road trip to Lamberts!

They wish they knew that college was more work than they anticipated, it’s a process to become completely independent! They support their daughter by checking in every few days, encouraging her to stay on top of things, and encouraging her to grow in her independence!

A piece of advice that the Northrop family shares is that you can keep in contact with your students even though they are not at home anymore!

They are looking forward to coming to family weekend next year and completing some traditions as a family! Thanks to the Northrop family for sharing!
