Happy Bear Family Friday! Everyone, meet the Griffith family from Weatherby Lake, Missouri!

Alyssa is a junior that has made her mark on Missouri State’s campus! She will be a SOAR leader this summer, welcoming new students and families to campus! She is supported by her brother Kyle, mother Barbara, and father Jim!

Their favorite things to do when visiting Alyssa in Springfield are to walk around the beautiful nature parks and visit local restaurants! To support Alyssa, her family wants to allow her to grow independently!

They check in once every couple of weeks to catch up. They enjoy hearing how her academics and other activities/organizations she’s involved in are going!

A piece of advice that the Griffith family would offer to other families is to remember to highly encourage your student to get involved and join a variety of organizations. Involvement will allow them to meet a large range of other students!

The Griffith’s are really looking forward to participating in Family Weekend this coming fall! Everyone give the them a warm welcome!
