Getting Involved on Campus – Mikaela’s Reflections

October 20, 2023 by Priscilla Childress

Fraternity and Sorority Life recruitment and other major organizations’ recruitment is over, but that doesn’t mean students can’t join any organization or get involved in other aspects of campus!

Getting involved on campus doesn’t mean that you have to be in an organization. It could simply mean you attend events on campus, go to athletic events, or even stop at a table within the Plaster Student Union.

Student Activities Council, Traditions Council, and Student Government Association hosts events throughout the semester where students can win free prizes, participate, and take home free merch!

There is more information on their events on their social media. (@mostatesac, @mostatesga, @mostatetc)

Athletic season is here, and there are tons of sporting events in the coming months! There are five home football games where students get in for free with their BearPass! It is a great place to cheer on the Bears and support the football team, spirit squads, and the PRIDE Band.

Volleyball, soccer, hockey, and basketball also have games this semester! All of these events and activities are a blast and who doesn’t want free stuff!

(Mikaela Koehler is a senior, a member of the PRIDE Band Color Guard, and a SOAR Leader.)
