Dr. Sharmistha Self begins her role as Chair of the Faculty Senate for 2015-16 academic year May 1.  At regular monthly sessions and throughout the year in committee work, the Senate oversees curricular issues and provides the administration and Board of Governors with faculty perspectives and recommendations on matters of concern to the faculty.  Dr. Self is a professor in the Department of Economics.
