Dr. Eric Nelson has just been awarded the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference’s Nancy Lyman Roelker Prize for his essay, “Remembering the Martyrdom of Saint Francis of Paola: History, Memory and Minim Identity in Seventeenth-Century France,” History and Memory 26, No. 2 (Fall/Winter 2014): 76-105   This award will be presented at the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference’s general business meeting on Friday Oct 23, 2015 in Vancouver, BC.
