Dr. Paul Durham, professor of biology and director of the Center for Biomedical and Life Sciences in the Jordan Valley Innovation Center at IDEA Commons, recently presented at the Diamond Headache Meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz. His presentation was entitled “Pathophysiology of Migraine,” which is one of his primary research focuses.

Durham was also a featured speaker at the American Academy of Orofacial Pain in Orlando, Fla. He presented “Neuron-Glial Interactions in Trigeminal Mediated Disease” and “Effects of REM Sleep Deprivation on Trigeminal Nerve Function.”
At the 52nd annual American Headache Society Meeting in Los Angeles, Calif., he spoke along with a co-presenter on the topic of “Dihydroergotamine Repression of Nociceptive Changes in the Trigeminal Ganglion and Trigeminal Nucleus Caudalis Involves Activation of Alpha2-Adrenergic Receptors.”
