Several faculty members from the hospitality and restaurant administration department will represent Missouri State University through their refereed papers and symposia at the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE) conference in Denver this summer. The submissions were selected through a rigorous, double-blind review process.
The refereed papers that were accepted include: “A Systematic Model for Progra Evaluation and Curricular Transformation: A Tale from the Trenches” by Dr. Stephanie Hein and Dr. Carl Riegel; “Accuracy of Customer Perceptions of Food Service Safety Using A Comparative Analysis of Health Inspection Reports” by Melanie Grand; and “Lawsuits as an Indicator of Corporate Social Responsibility in Hospitality Firms” by Dr. Melissa Dallas.
The refereed symposia that were accepted include: ”Incorporating a Learner-Centered Approach in the Hospitality Classroom” by Dr. Stephanie Hein and “Making the Most of the Study-Abroad Course: Lessons Learned” by Abbe Ehlers.
