Faculty receives grant for cost of living study

janehoodJane Hood, interim director of the Center for Resource Planning and Management at Missouri State University, received a grant of $1,000 from the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce for her project “Economic Development Services – Cost of Living Index Price Report.”

The project is administered by Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG). SMCOG will collect price data from appropriate stores on designated collection weeks throughout the year.

SMCOG is a voluntary association of local governments in 10 southwest Missouri counties. SMCOG fulfills the need for planning services by providing access and facilities to membership communities.
