Emeritus professor, expert to speak at Sherlockian weekend

January 27, 2014 by Gale Lininger

Missouri State University emeritus professor Dr. James O’Brien will be this year’s Distinguished Speaker at the Baker Street Irregulars and Friends Weekend in New York City.

The Weekend is an annual gathering of the oldest literary society dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, and this year will be celebrating the 160th birthday of the iconic detective. O’Brien recently authored the Edgar Award winning “The Scientific Sherlock Holmes,” which focuses on the science behind Holmes’ deductive skills.
