University faculty receives funding for Homeland Security program

The Missouri Office of Homeland Security has awarded two Missouri State University faculty a renewed grant of $303,345.34 for the Region D FY13 Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP). This funding was provided to:

  • Dorothy Wittorff-Sandgren, community development coordinator, Center for Resource Planning and Management
  • Diane May, assistant professor of geography, geology and planning and director of Center for Resource Planning and Management

HSGP funding will be used for costs related to the planning, organization equipment, training and exercise needs that prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism and other catastrophic events.
