Science can cross many barriers, including those of international borders.
Participating at this level gains greater exposure to the incredible work being done at Missouri State.
This included the 4th International Caparica Conference in Antibiotic Resistance June 14-17 in Caparica, Portugal, by invitation and the 25th Congress of International Union of Crystallography Conference Aug. 14-22 in Prague, Czeck Republic.
About the conference presentations
Gerasimchuk presented “Polymeric Composites with Silver (I) Cyanoximates Inhibit Biofilm Formation of Gram-Positive and Gram-Negative Bacteria” at the June meeting.
“Life and research must go on, even amidst the difficulties of the pandemic,” Gerasimchuk said. “As our talk at the IUCr Congress meeting was the first one to represent MSU at such a level, our contributions to the world of crystallography have brought us on the map in the scientific field.”
