Several CNAS students placed at the 2016 Arkansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) conference Oct. 21-22, 2016.
- John Short, a senior in the department of biology, co-authored a poster titled “Subcellular Targeting and Physiological Significant of Dyamin-like Protein, Vps1 with Dr. Kyoungtae Kim. The poster was entered in the Biological Sciences division and won first place.
- Angeline Rodriguez, a senior in the department of biology, co-authored a poster with Abbi Mabary, Andrea Taylor, Hannah Ingram and Dr. Christopher Lupfer titled “Improving Inflammation in Viral Bacterial Coinfection by Il-1β Regulation.” The poster was entered in the Biological Sciences division and received an Honorable Mention.
- Jesse Underwood, a junior in the department of physics, astronomy and materials science, co-authored a presentation with Dayton G. Kizzire, J. Thomas, R. Sakidja and R.A. Mayanovic titled “Molecular Dynamics Simulations of the Mechanical and Structural Properities of Silica and Aluminosilica Mesoporous Materials.” The presentation was entered in the Physics division and won first place.
