Alan Schick (Chemistry) – Congratulations on your additional funding with BASF Corp. for “Soluplus Applications in Topical Gels”.
John Havel (Biology) – Congratulations on your subcontract with the University of Wisconsin – Madison for research relating to their grant with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Alicia Mathis (Biology and National Park Service) – Congratulations on your award with the National Park Service to conduct vital signs monitoring of natural resources.
Sherry Leis (Biology and National Park Service) – Congratulations on your next round of funding for the Great Plains Fire Exchange project with the National Park Service.
Dan Watts (Center for Resource Planning and Management) – Congratulations on your next year of funding from the USDOT via MODOT for this year’s Transportation Work Program.

All graduate students and faculty contracts for fall semester start on Monday, August 11. New graduate student orientation is Monday. New TA orientation and new faculty orientation is Tuesday. The showcase on teaching and learning is Wednesday – please sign up. This promises to be a great event. The Faculty Welcome Back lunch hosted by Provost Einhellig will begin at 11:30 AM on Thursday in the PSU Ballroom.
