2019 PENNY BERNSTEIN DISTINGUISHED TEACHING AWARD  for 2019 was awarded to Dr. Alicia Mathis at the annual meeting of the Animal Behavior Society. http://www.animalbehaviorsociety.org/NEWSLETTERS/64-2/fellows.php  CONGRATULATIONS, ALICIA!!!!!

Congratulations to Bull Shoals Field Station for 20 years!

Attached is the new BSFS summer 2019 newsletter. They’ve reached a milestone and lots of changes continue. Check out the history on page 3 to see how far they’ve come in just two decades. On the BSFS websites, you can find past issues and a recent news article in their Media Archives.


Student Expo is on Wednesday, August 28 – Print the flyer and check out the Student Resources webpage as well.


Outstanding work by faculty, staff, students!

  • Biology graduate students Kammie Voves and Sam Hannabass gave presentations at Annual Meeting of the Southwestern Association of Naturalists (SWAN). Voves won a research award with a $1000 prize!
