CNAS Career Expo
The CNAS Career Expo is this Wednesday, November 8 in the PSU Ballroom from 3 to 6PM. Everyone is encouraged to attend the first hour of the expo to learn more about each of the employers as well as their needs. Please make sure to share this information with your students as it is a good chance for them to meet potential employers (full-time and internships).
MSU Way and United Way
For those that participated in the MSU Way and United Way campaigns there will be a celebration luncheon in the PSU Ballroom on November 6 from 11:30AM-1:00PM. If you plan to attend please RSVP for the event.
Award Nomination Deadline
Nomination deadline for The Staff Excellence in University Service Award is Friday, November 13. Nominations can be submitted at the following link – https://www.missouristate.edu/SEUSA/default.htm.
You can help a student
The Counseling Center is offering two one day training sessions on how faculty and staff can help to support students that might be struggling with mental health concerns. The attached flyer has more information including how you can register for one of the training sessions.

Kevin Mickus, SEES/GGP, was one of the keynote speakers during The Arab Conference on Astronomy & Geophysics in Cairo, Egypt presenting his research on The Okavango Rift Zone of Botswana-southwest extension of the East African Rift.

- Basement electrical work in existing electrical room and addition.
- Basement spoils (concrete and soil) to be removed from basement. ((Expect debris cart from basement to first floor/loading dock by use of elevator)
- Footing & Foundation continues (90% complete) and pit crane removal. (Concrete and Dump Trucks on JQH Parkway)
- Foundation waterproofing commences.
- Exterior building assessment continues (Expect lift around building and at windows).
- Be aware of drone on site this week – permits have been issued and Security will be notified.
- Tower crane erection. (north side fence at mall will be moved further north temporarily)
Note on Tower Crane: The crane arm will NOT be in a fixed position when not in use. If you see it swinging around in heavy winds, this is normal function.
11/13/23 thru 11/17/23

- Slab on grade preparation (termite treatment & vapor barrier)
- Plumbing in basement hall to auditoriums.
