Board of Governors – Excellence in Public Affairs Award Nominations
The Board of Governors (BOG) is now accepting nominations for the 2024-2025 Board of Governors’ Award for Excellence in Public Affairs. Up to 3 faculty and 3 staff are awarded for distinctive on-campus public affairs work and accomplishments. Recipients must have 3 years of full-time employment at MSU. Awardees will receive recognition and an internal transfer of $1,500 to support their campus related public affairs projects, teaching, research, or service. CNAS may nominate one faculty member for the Excellence in Public Affairs Award from the BOG. If you wish to nominate someone – please submit names (no applications yet) to the dean’s office by February 21. Nominations will be reviewed and a finalist name will be submitted by March 8. (Full application materials are not due until April.)
Appreciation Cards
It’s a good time to let someone know that you appreciate their kindness, their work ethic, their ability to go above and beyond to solve a problem or even their smile. CNAS has “thank you cards” that will be distributed to each department office within CNAS. Please encourage students, faculty and staff to write a thank you note to another person within CNAS or within MSU. There will be boxes in each department (you should have a box from the previous Thank You session) and the dean’s office to deposit the thank you card(s). Cards will be delivered to your area by February 20. Cards will be picked up on March 8. All cards will be sorted and delivered to appropriate personnel March 11-15. Please make sure all students, faculty and staff in your area know about the cards and encourage them to take them to classes or student meetings so that everyone has access to the cards. Make sure everyone knows when and where to turn in cards.
