CNAS NEWS – July 22, 2024

August 8, 2024 by Dylan Welker

Construction Updates (Details below for Blunt Hall) –

  • Kemper Hall addition is scheduled to be complete in December of 2024.
  • KGSX renovations have started for the psychology department.  We will try to move the CNAS folks out of there just as early as possible in 2025 (for sure by May).
  • Blunt – The addition will be done in the spring of 2025.  Moves will begin occurring in early 2025.  Renovations to the original part of the building will continue through spring of 2026.
  • Cheek Hall – Design/development will occur this fall with bidding in the spring.  Construction will start after school is out in May of 2025.  Construction should be done within 14 months.
  • Most CNAS faculty/staff will be need to move their office at least once in this process.  Save yourself time and effort by going through your things now.  Throw away what you no longer need and recycle what you can.  This is also a good time to reorganize your lab spaces to make sure you have what you need but that you are not storing things that you will never need.  If you need help getting rid of chemicals, David Vaughan can help you.  Effective January of 2025 – no storage in the hallways which includes no freezers or refrigerators.
