The update on SEM presented at the Board of Governors (BOG) Programs and Planning Committee and presentation on The Changing Higher Education Landscape at the main BOG meeting on February 21, 2020 are posted on the SEM Documents web page.

The former gives an update on our seven SEM goals and the current strategy development phase.

The latter was an informative presentation given by EAB. A good summary of it is on the February 25 Clif’s Notes as well.

An email was just sent to our enrollment reports distribution list. If you did not receive this and would like to begin receiving detailed opening day and census enrollment updates, please email Rob Hornberger. As a reminder, our official census is the 20th day mark of the semester (or end of the 4th week of classes).

Our total Springfield campus enrollment for spring 2020 is 22,221, down 152 (0.7%) from spring 2019. As a reminder, we were down 515 new and 532 continuing degree seeking undergraduate students this past fall 2019. Thus our decrease in our spring 2020 continuing undergraduate degree-seeking students is the anticipated net effect of those fewer students moving through the pipeline.
