Planning, Design & Construction announces a closure associated with the following project:

17-075 Exterior Granite Panel Replacement, Professional Building

During the reconstruction of the intersection at Kimbrough Avenue and Cherry Street, the City of Springfield’s contractor accidentally broke some of the exterior granite panels on the face of the Professional Building. These panels are located on the southwest corner of the building. The City’s contractor will be replacing the broken panels starting Tuesday, February 7, 2017. While it is hoped that the contractor can complete their work within one day, the work may extend past Tuesday if additional time is needed. While minimal disruption to pedestrians is expected, intermittent sidewalk blockage could occur. There is no street blockage expected as part of this work.
