The coronavirus pandemic has created a number of challenges for Missouri State students. The switch to online or alternate class methods has been particularly difficult for Bears who do not have sufficient internet access at home.
We’re here to help.
Thanks to private gifts to the Missouri State University Foundation, students can request to borrow cellular hot spot devices at no cost for the remainder of the spring semester.
How to request a hotspot
Students who do not have a reliable internet connection at home can complete and submit the COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Application. The office of student financial aid will review and process requests.
Students can also use this form to request other assistance if financial barriers could keep them from continuing their education.
Devices will have cellular access for six months. Missouri State’s office of networking and telecommunications will ship devices to students’ homes.
When the campus returns to normal operations, all students in possession of a cellular hot spot device will be expected to return them to the university. Failure to do so will result in a charge assessed to the student’s account.
