Increased value for dual credit students

Recipients can renew this award for an additional 3 years.

March 28, 2022 by Rob Moore

Beginning in Fall 2022, students who begin coursework at Missouri State University with 9 or more MSU dual credit hours earned with a 3.25 cumulative GPA will be eligible for a $1,000 renewable scholarship.

The Missouri State Advantage Scholarship was previously a non-renewable fund, awarded for the first year of enrollment at Missouri State University. With this revision, recipients beginning in the Fall 2022 semester will be able to renew this award for an additional 3 years. This increases the total value of the scholarship from $1,000 to $4,000.

This change is yet another step toward MSU’s mission to offer a quality, affordable higher education to students who want a degree.

Eligibility criteria

To qualify, applicants must complete 9 or more hours through the Missouri State dual credit program with a 3.25 or higher GPA. There is no additional application required, but students must apply for admission by June 1 to qualify.

This revised Missouri State Advantage Scholarship can be combined with the Provost, Deans, Hutchens/SGA Centennial Leaders, Academic Excellence, Academic Distinction, Academic Achievement, A+ Recognition Scholarship and Missouri Boys/Girls State scholarships.
