New deadline allows students more time to submit or correct FAFSA forms.

With many students still experiencing issues accessing, submitting, or making corrections to their 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Missouri State University has extended our deadline for students to qualify for scholarships and financial aid to May 1, 2024.

We understand that our students and their families have faced challenges that are beyond their control. Many have made efforts to submit their FAFSA for many weeks, only to be frustrated or delayed due to technical problems. We hope extending the deadline will ease their concerns and allow more students to qualify for financial aid.

Extended scholarship consideration

Students who apply to Missouri State and complete their FAFSA forms by May 1 will be eligible for all need-based financial aid including the Mo State Access Award.

MSU prides itself on providing a quality college education at a cost within reach. The Mo State Access Award continues this legacy by providing free tuition and fees for Missouri students who are Pell Grant eligible.

More time to decide, risk-free

In addition to extending the FAFSA submission deadline, we have also extended our enrollment deposit and housing deposit refund dates to June 1.

We want students to have all the relevant information when making their final decision. For that reason, we’re extending the deadline for a full refund of your enrollment deposit and housing deposit to June 1, 2024. We would love for you to attend Missouri State, but if you decide that we aren’t the right fit you can withdraw your application by June 1 to receive a full refund of previously submitted deposits.
