The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has provided clarification that the freeze on federal financial assistance programs is not applicable to Title IV student financial aid programs. As such, this freeze will not affect programs administered by the Office of Student Financial Aid such as Pell Grants and Direct Loans.
Additionally, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has clarified that GI Bill® payments do not fall under this order and will continue to be made to schools and students without change.

At this time, we do not believe federal student aid programs, such as Pell Grants and Direct Loans, will be impacted by this announced freeze. However, the Office of Student Financial Aid is closely monitoring this situation.
As more information becomes available, we will provide updates on our website at missouristate.edu/financialaid/ and this blog post. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
