Students now have an additional month to submit their scholarship application.
In response to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) priority deadline extension, the MSU Foundation Annual Scholarship Application deadline has been extended from March 1 to April 1.
Because a student’s financial need is determined by the FAFSA, this extension ensures students have the opportunity to be considered for need-based scholarships. It is also our hope that the additional month will result in a greater number of application submissions.
About the MSU Foundation Annual Scholarship Application
This annual application allows students to apply for all of the nearly 1000 different donor-funded scholarships exclusive to Missouri State University. The scholarship application is worth taking the time to fill out; last year, 1/3 of applicants were selected to receive a donor-funded scholarship with an average value of $1700.
The application does not need to be completed in one sitting. It is advised that students take their time and put effort into their application. Students are not required to fill out the entire application – only the questions and sections applicable to them.
Please note that not all Foundation scholarships require financial need. If a student is unable to submit the FAFSA or they do not have demonstrated need as determined by the FAFSA, they are still eligible for a great number of scholarships. All students are encouraged to submit a scholarship application.
