At the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station

Wind but no hail

This morning we were afraid that we may have a hailstorm. A severe storm was moving from Springfield toward Mountain Grove. High winds around 10:00 am did not last long but I felt my office in the original second floor of Faurot Hall shake! No hail though.

A large basswood fell over in our Arboretum. The soil was saturated from rains and the wind just pushed it over.
