Blackberry winter

May 14, 2011 by Marilyn Odneal

Ok, I was looking at the blackberry flowers on Thursday, wearing shorts and enjoying warm weather. It dawned on me that the blackberries were blooming without a blackberry winter! Friday, I stepped outside in my shorts and ran back in to get a jacket. Today, Saturday, I think is even colder and windier and the high tomorrow is supposed to be 55F. So, blackberry winter has arrived after all.
