2012 Mid-American Wine Competition

The sixth annual Mid-American Wine Competition was July 13-15 at the Des Moines Area Community College Ankeny campus. It included wines from 15 Midwestern states. More then 600 wines were entered by more then 100 different wineries.Professional wine judges from throughout th U.S.awarded 104 gold medals,190 silver medals and 183 bronze medals. 9 Sweepstakes awards. And 21 Sweepstakes Nominees awards.

2011 Chambourcin Gold and Sweepstakes Nominee. Maroon Blend, Blends in which a red Nav is the primary grape Silver. 2011 Norton Bronze. 2011 Pick Catawba ( Red ) Gold and Sweepstakes Nominee. 2011 Pink Catawba, All rose or blush blends in which Nav grapes dominate Silver. Port, Port style hybrid Bronze.
