Get Ready! The New Electronic PAF Form Starts October 2nd, 2023 – Approver Training This Week

September 25, 2023 by Patrick Hurn

To help get ready for the new Dynamic Forms electronic PAF process…PLEASE make sure you have your final paper PAF’s to HR Records by September 25th to ensure they are processed before October 02, 2023.   Beginning October 02, 2023, we will be switching to the electronic process only.

An improved process for submitting and tracking personnel action forms begins Monday, Oct. 2. This means no more paper! The current “paper” PAF is going away forever (this new process does not replace hiring through the ATS, nor does it replace GA and Per Course systems).

Come to the virtual trainings scheduled below to learn all about the new Dynamic Form electronic PAF and the functionality.

It is STRONGLY recommended that all employees who initiate, approve or contribute to PAFs attend these training sessions to understand this NEW process.

  • To register for a training: Go to My Learning Connection before the Register by date listed (a Zoom link will be provided following your registration).

Optional: HR Live – Part 2 – New Electronic PAF- Deep Dive Q/A

                Fri, Sep 29, 2023, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Here are just a few benefits of the new electronic Dynamic Forms PAF versus the current paper form:

  • Dynamic Form PAFs are cleaner, neater fillable forms.
  • Employee M#s auto-fill employee information for initiator.
  • Initial approval workflow is determined by initiator; processing workflow is automated.
  • New PAFs can be tracked through the Dynamic Form workflow.
  • The selected form and action type will populate the necessary fields to process changes. Only the required information for the action type will appear on the PAF: if there is a field – complete it; if there isn’t a field – then information isn’t needed.

To learn more about the new Dynamic Form PAFs, several training opportunities with different levels of focus are being offered. Anyone may attend any training session, but anyone who initiates a PAF, must attend the training “HR Live – Dynamic Forms – New PAF Form and Process Training.”

Please schedule all attendance through My Learning Connection.

If you are new to completing PAFs or wanting to take a deeper dive and learn more about the new forms, process and/or different action types, also plan to attend this training: “HR Live – Part 2 – New Electronic PAF – Deep Dive Q/A” (please note: you can attend the Part 2 Deep Dive Q & A session either the same day as the first session or attend a later scheduled Part 2 session listed). In these sessions, our team will answer questions and go into a deep dive detailed explanation about each of the new PAF forms and which to select for each action type or change you might have. Please schedule all attendance through My Learning Connection.

See you at the training!
